- We work with Maot Chitim to provide food to Jewish community members in need at Rosh Hashanah and Passover.
- Through the JUF Coat Club, we provide winter warmth items to Jewish community members in need.
Shalom over 50
Shalom over 50 is a JUF funded project, implemented by JCC Chicago. The lively group meets every Tuesday for a delicious meal, social opportunity, and entertainment. Membership in the club is $50 a year. To join, contact Ilene Uhlmann at iuhlmann@jccchicago.org.
Looking to volunteer?
The National Council of Jewish Women South Cook section and JUF’s Tikkun Olam Volunteer Network (TOV) help to create local opportunities for our community members to give back. Our volunteers deliver food from Maot Chitim for Rosh Hashanah and Passover. We also host drop off sites for the Nourish our Neighborhood’s program and participate in Good Deeds Day.
