Springboard at the Movies

  • Spiderman No Way Home on Thursday, July 21 in the evening at Scoville Park in Oak Park: Join Springboard at in Oak Park for a fun summer night out to see Spiderman No Way Home and meet other Jewish teens from around the Chicago area. This event is free and open to all rising 9th-12th graders and recent high school graduates. The movie is playing at Scoville Park (800 Lake Street, Oak Park). Sign up here! 

  • Pitch Perfect on Wednesday, July 27 in the evening at Gallagher Way (Wrigley Field): Join Springboard at Gallagher Way for a fun summer night out to see Pitch Perfect and meet other Jewish teens from around the Chicago area. This event is free and open to all rising 9th-12th graders and recent high school graduates. Gallagher way is located directly outside Wrigley Field. Sign up here! 

Let's Chat & Chill

Let us treat you to ice cream or an iced coffee when you meet one-on-one with a Springboard staff member who can help you discover amazing programs. This opportunity is open to teens and/or parents of 8th-12th graders. Parents, if your teen is away this summer at camp, you can still meet with a Springboard staff member. These meetings are great for teens looking to try something new, aren't sure where to start, or have participated in many opportunities and just want to meet with a Springboard staff member to share your experiences.

Camp Letters

Are you going to overnight camp this summer? Springboard wants to send you a special camp-themed gift while you are at camp! This gift will include camp-themed stickers and a letter. This gift opportunity is open to all rising 8th-12th graders in the Chicago area.

Multi-Day Local Summer Programs

  • Dinner and Justice: A teen symposium on food insecurity in Chicago.  This three-part event will take place from 6-8pm on July 26, 27, and 28 in Chicago. Each evening, the group will have dinner and explore issues and solutions to food insecurity in Chicago. If you would like to participate, please fill out this form here by June 30, and program staff will contact you with more information.   • Hearts, Minds, and Heavy Breathing: This program through Response for Teens is a week-long summer program for high school students interested in learning how to become peer health activists. The week will focus on healthy relationships, mental health, and sexual health and will include discussions, interactive and reflective activities, and field trips to local organizations. The program will take place the week of July 11th from 9:30AM-3:30PM each day. Click here to register.

  • Explore Chicago with JCC Chicago’s City LIFE: During this new one-week summer program, experience all the amazing things Chicago has to offer. Become more familiar with navigating the city, gain important life skills, give back to the community and participate in exciting activities such as a Second City improv class, a Michigan Avenue scavenger hunt, and a cooking class. This program is open to teens in 7th-9th grade and spots are still available for the second session July 18th-22nd! Learn more and sign up here.

  • Camp TOV: Teens Make a Difference! From supporting local neighbors to combatting hunger, Camp TOV is a unique opportunity to make a difference all over Chicago this summer. Camp will run from August 8th to August 12th and is open to teens entering 7th-10th grade. Learn more and register here.

Work at Apachi Day Camp: Apachi Day Camp is hiring talented camp staff who are looking to develop career-building skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving and relationship management abilities.
